He was waiting in front of the apartment complex. It is a large area, four of the bottom stories are super malls. All the shops are very colorful. In evening this place looks very beautiful.

In the mean time a cool breeze started to blow. He looked towards the sky and found that on north-west part a piece of dark grey cloud which is growing rapidly. “It will rain” he thought. Suddenly he remembers two lines of a poem;

“Clouds are there,

One after one

And darkness has covered”.

Joya used to recite these lines whenever she used to see clouds in the sky. Often in rainy season she would call him and ask “you know, one day I will be with you, holding your hand tightly will shower in the rain, none will be there to stop……………”.

My grand ma came in your rickshaw? He opened his eyes and saw an angel standing by the rickshaw. He waved his positively as there was no other rickshaw around. The cute girl gave him an envelope. He was a bit surprised; as this is an unusual thing happened. He opened it and found some money and with a letter. He read it. The old lady written that she would like to see him in front of the apartment on just 7.30 am, 5 days a week, and in this purpose she is giving him some advance. The lady taken it for granted. He kept the letter and returned the envelope with money and said that tell your grand ma, I will be here at right time.

He started to pull the rickshaw. It started raining and once again he remembered a song;

“Rain drops are falling on my head”

He returned to his room in the slum at about midnight. It’s a small room made of bamboo fence

and roof is of tin. The rent is 2000 per month. There are several studies which show that slum dwellers pay more than the apartment dwellers in this city. The room is small and simple unlike 

all other rooms in the slum.

 I think you have not got it that how hot was it. The temperature was 37 degree centigrade and humidity was above 80%. His eyes were shinning which is a clear indication of hunger. On that situation he suddenly realized that “love and love life” the words can be poetic but in real practice they cannot be poetic, and all those life quotes of love are just sayings and soothing the mind of the wealthy girlish mind of lovers. It is not fantasy anymore it is the crude reality.

He slowed down the rickshaw (three wheeler vehicle, pulled by man), and the person on the passenger seat screamed, why he cannot pull it first. He sighs and started thinking how he slowed down the pace of his life……

Just two years ago, while he was a student of the best university of the country, he did not even dream of these days. Struggle for life, struggle to get a good job, struggle for him and the family, struggle for love had changed everything.

He came with a dream to the capital. His father, mother, younger brother and sister stayed back in the small town. His father, with his small low paid job, was struggling to maintain the family. 

It was really hard for father to send money for the elder son. But he never showed his gloomy face. Always tried to show a smiling face. Despite of all odds never said a ‘no’.

JHOP!! The frontal wheel fell into a ditch full of water and the passenger once again shouted “Can’t you pull it carefully, why running so fast?!”. “OK! I am almost there, Place the rickshaw on the left, behind the van, wait a minute, I will send the servant with the money”. He waved his head unspecifically which can be meant anything, the passenger went through the gate into the apartment complex rapidly. He with the small towel wiping the sweat started waiting………….

Life is love or love is life; the beginning 2

That was our life. We were fun loving, caring towards other, jolly and of course good fellows. The only shortcoming was that we never loved to study the text books regularly. We were seven in number. Lucky seven, huh! The campus used to call us seven stars.

In the mean time two of us once again managed to get affair. Curious?? Thinking who was the girl?? No, the girl was not from our department, class or from our university. Those two star used to teach at home, i. e., Home Tutor. One has managed his student while another managed to convince the aunt of the student………….

What were those days we really passed? Often I think if Allah give me the chance to want anything, I would have wanted those days back in my life forever. No hassle, no responsibilities life like birds. That was brief starting of our love life.

Now we are six in number and established in different sectors. You might be thinking where our seventh member is. He is no more. He died on operation table.

He had severe block in the artery of his heart. He had an affair while he died. She cried a lot. The seven stars are still the seven, six are in physical being one is still in the heart of the six.

His memories often make our eyes moisten. Whatever, all we know that the every living creature will have to die one day. It is cited in the Holy Quran “Kullu Nafsin Jayiqatul Mout” which means every living being will taste the death……

In the end of the day all we are just nothing but dust in the wind, the famous song from Kansas, “dust in the wind” is the one often reminds me the days while I will not be in the earth……………

Life is love or love is life; the beginning 1

Now we managed admission in the universities but could not manage admission into the heart of the BEAUTIES.

Life is love or love is life

In the earlier post I have written that from a strict disciplined life we just shifted into a life of unlimited freedom, so most of us could rarely control themselves and learn from the classes, lectures, books, libraries and so on. We were from that clan who were day dreamer.

We used to both read and pray to Allah only on the eve of the examination, saying Allah please this is the last time, we will not make the same mistake again and read once pass the present exam.

The exam is over and once again we used to forget our promise.

The Romeos are back in the field and busy to try to win the heart of the Juliets’, but once again the hearts of the Juliet are made of stone. Those hearts used to melt only for the seniors and teachers of the departments.

Every evening we used to return to our hall of residence with broken heart, which till next morning repaired and we start trying with new enthusiasm.

Ah!! What a life we passed, I wish I could return to those days once again!!

A year passed and the gang of Romeo once again managed to pass the year. Now they are senior and have responsibility to look after and take care of the newcomer Juliets. After all they are the senior manager of the department. Still our girl classmates are strict towards us with their rock hard heart.

The newcomer girls seem to be more intelligent than their senior sisters. They come to us take help on almost every matter but seem reluctant to be in any kind of love affair. Just imagine a group of Romeos are just eager to get an affair, funny huh!!!

Life is love or love is life; the beginning. OK you have already gone through the name of the topic, so what you expect; I am going to describe all those thought and philosophies of love jumping in my mind? Sorry, but it is not going to happen. It is not possible for a kid like me to explain all those deep thought and ideas about love.

Life is love or love is life

While in my younger age my friends used to elaborate LOVE as L- lost, O- of, V- valuable and E- Energy!! So what you have found? Love is lost of valuable energy. In our society love and affair without marriage between a boy and girl was not welcomed till a time, though now a day situation is much changed.

So in our age (before 2000), it was really tough for us to manage someone and say “I Love You” was pretty tough and troublesome. So, fox cannot manage to eat grapes and grapes are sour. Alike my friends were unable to manage a girlfriend and used to say “Oh! Love is so awful and it is just losing of valuable energy!!!

We grow a bit older and managed to get admission in University. Situation is changed, got freedom of birds and could fly anywhere.

Yes you have read “managed to get admission”. In our country it is just not easy to get admission in universities in desired subjects as the seats are limited and students are almost unlimited compared to the seats. For example the total numbers of seats in Govt. universities are about 20000, where applicant number is half a million.

Some private universities are there but education is pretty much expensive there. So the main focus of all the applicants is the Govt. universities where the cost is limited, less pressure of study and ample opportunity to enjoy your life.
